Jessica McMahon smiling

Jessica McMahon, the founder of The Head and Heart Wellness Center, has more than a decade of experience working with individuals where mental health and healing have been the focus.

 

From managing casework for adoptive and foster families to providing care for teens in a residential setting to working within federal and state agencies like Head Start and Child Protective Services, she has the knowledge, compassion, and understanding to walk with you as you navigate the healing process.

She graduated from Baylor University in 2008 with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and obtained a Master’s in Counseling from St. Edward’s University in 2010. After completing over 3,000 supervised internship hours, she became a Licensed Family and Marriage Therapist (LMFT) in 2015.

​

Jessica specializes in trauma-focused, integrative and somatic therapies for adults and teens with complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. Over the past 12 years, she has been trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), TBRI (Trust Based Relational Intervention), Complex Trauma, Family Systems, and the Gottman Method. Jessica holds a Phase One Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics certification from the Child Trauma Academy. She obtained her LMFT supervisor’s license in 2021.

Jessica is married to her lifelong love Russell and has three amazing and exciting children, Charlotte, Lilly, and Ellis.
